Diversity and Inclusion

In true keeping with our progressive education philosophy, The Little School is committed to educating our students to be citizens in a diverse and inclusive global community. With a focus on social-emotional learning, our students develop empathy, a respect for and an understanding of those with different backgrounds and perspectives, while also learning to advocate for themselves and others. This commitment extends beyond our classrooms, and is reflected in the beliefs of our broader Little School community as well.

To further our children’s understanding of the pluralistic world in which we live, The Little School seeks to purposefully build an environment that reflects and honors society’s rich diversity. The school welcomes and respects socioeconomic, racial, family, religious, sexual orientation, and ability differences. Our community is committed to ongoing dialogue and self-education to develop appreciation for and inclusion of every member.

The Little School admits students of any racial, national, religious, or ethnic origin. The Little School does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, or ethnic origin in the administration of its admissions, financial aid, or any other school-administered programs.
